The characteristics of the existing landscape of the Wuhan area informed our initial departure. By varying high and low densities, we are able to create environments with a clear focus on appearance and function. In the developed areas we apply this principle to clearly define public spaces, like streets and squares. In urban environments a high density is necessary to create a lively and inviting place. This density is balanced in the landscape, which opens up to the horizon. Here people can feel the magic of nature, reminding them of our mutual dependency. We envision all future urban growth based on organic patterns. Nature is the driving influence and origin of the plan.

The program and environment are conceived as essential considerations in the park; both compliment the other to benefit the viewier. This inspired us to consider landscape as a volcano. The activity is concentrated inside the volcano, from which it flows outwards towards the subsequent tier, where it increases again.

The program is spread throughout area, however the varied activities surrounding the buildings are concentrated in these volcanoes. The visitor perceives these places as small towns with an array of buildings, forming streets and squares. Here you can enjoy commercial and cultural activities.
The surrounding park offers a relaxed environment for a walk, or a bike tour, and even a swim in the pond. Small scale educational and leisure related agricultural activities are dispersed throughout the park.
The residential villas are centered around a common area, with a playground and a pond.
Generally the parking is housed at the outside ring of the volcanos underground.
