Charge yourself at TeaTap. A place where urban people meet, share, relax, work, and enjoy life on the edge of the city centre around the Asian tradition of tea drinking. From the location there is a magnificent view over the water back to the centre of the historical city.
Public transport is easily accessible.
In analyzing the location, we surprisingly discovered that the Chinese character for field could be applied to the organization of the programme. Building, stone terrace, green field and water platform are placed in a mutual relation.
Since the location is temporarily at dispel for an initiative, the pavilion can be modular assembled and is fully demountable. The steel frames of sea containers from the basic construction. The ground floor is a landscape of bamboo, tables and seats coming up from the floor. Local heating integrated in the interior elements compensate for limited average temperature of the spaces. Altogether a light-footed sustainable concept.
